kinda in love with this hanging plant idea. with 2 cats, and 2 dogs, we have zero plants in our home because they've gotten destroyed any time we've tried. this looks like the perfecto solution for us!

like the tiniest vintage christmas tree ever, that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

christmas swoon!

i've recently become slightly obsessed with the works of Danielle Thompson, and her flickr photo stream. though some may think it's still a bit early to start thinking about christmas, i couldn't help but share this little gem. this retro festive setup just warms my insides and makes for a happy me! now i know we need a pink christmas tree, and i've got to get working on a pom-pom wreath stat!

as you may recall, a few months ago i was drooling over some white walls. well the mr has put a veto on that idea, which is a bummer, but marriage is all about compromise, right? so anywho, i've focused my white obsession onto floors now. lets see if we can get him on board for this one...

and while drooling over this nursery above, i notice that the momma of the little baby who lives in this room is one of my past Monkey & Squirrel buyers from Australia! it filled me with more happiness then i can even tell you to see my horse hook hanging with those precious baby shoes on it. seriously small world we have here friends!

slouchy goodness!

one thing that always used to bother me when i was younger was when my tights would start to slip down and gather at my ankles. these days though, for whatever reason, it's one of my favorite things ever! it's sort of the granny chic thang that i love so very much. this morning, while browsing the sartorialist, i noticed that i'm not alone in this love...

red velvet spring 2011 collection

a few weeks ago red velvet released their new spring line and hot dang are these some cute vintage inspired looks! hands down, my absolute favorite is this adorable little kite day dress. it's calling to me... "jennn, you must have me for summerrrrr!" oh, i hear you kite dress!

all of the dresses are equally as sweet, but sadly this line is so amazing that most of them are already sold out. bummer!

i'm a big ol' fan of cate blanchett (huge LOTR nerd here!), and i'm so sad that i missed the oscars this year just for the simple reason of missing seeing her look this amazing. i do believe she did givenchy proud!

you may remember me swooning over these shoes here. well i decided i just couldn't pass them up and i went ahead and ordered them. to my excitement, last night they arrived at my doorstep and they're perfect!

these bad boys will be coming on our cruise with me and by god i will find a time to wear them!

dear creatures spring 2011

you've done it again dear creatures!

i'm absolutely in love with the sneak peaks at their spring lookbook. the 60's style mixed with a bit of nautical flair, it's just too good for words. swoon... drool...

vegan shoes...

any time i come across a good crop of vegan shoes i feel the need to shout it from the rooftops! anyone who chooses to not wear animal products knows that when it comes to shoes there isn't always the best selection to pick from. enter lulu's entire vegan shoe section...

this last pair are the ones that are calling me from afar. i'm generally not a huge heel wearer, but these would be just perfect either dressed up with some spring dresses, or nice and casual with some jeans and a t-shirt. so so gooooooood!
