all trimmed up!

welp, just got back from the salon and i'm super stoked on my new cut & color! it's oh so louise brooks and i couldn't be happier about that :)

big thanks to steph for making me feel lovely again!

where do the days go?

i've gotta say, these have been some very busy, but very very great days! adam & steph's wedding is this saturday and evan & i have been helping them get all of their last minute DIY projects all finished up. the amount of handmade goodness going into their wedding is just amazing. i'm so excited to see how it all comes together. pictures will definitely be shared next week!

also, today i am FINALLY going to get my hair trimmed up! i currently have this weird mullet thing happening and it is not cute! if you've been following along then you know that i'm trying ever so hard to grow out my do. it's a rather tough job growing out a pixie cut, and i've been waiting for as close to the wedding as possible to get my trim up so that it looks all nice and freshy fresh for the big day. the sides of my hair have finally grown over my ears, which is what i was waiting for, so it's looking like i'll be able to do a simple little bob. those hair & nail vitamins have been doing their job!

hair decisions...

steph, you're killin' me! for months and months i've had this pic saved as my hair inspiration. i've been growing and growing, trimming and shaping...

and then you go and post this pic...

and now i'm completely torn! i've still got a bit of growing to go before i can reach either of these, but it always helps to have an idea of what you're shooting for. let's take a little poll... hair one or hair two, which do you prefer...

i'm currently trying to grow my hair out to this stage, and anyone who has ever had super short hair knows what a daunting task this can be. the front of my hair is actually already at this point, it's just the back that i have to keep letting grow out. i'm getting a little trim up this afternoon and i just need to keep my eye on the prize so as to not walk in there and have my gal steph just chop it off. stay strong jenn... stay strong!

top ten short hair picks... plus one

i'm getting a little trim up by my friend steph either later today or tomorrow because my hair is just unruly right now. i'm in the process of growing out the front and it's gotten to this odd stage where the sides are getting too long and it's giving me sort of a mushroom head feel. not cute! i put in a word with my girl that my wig needs did, and she's gonna make it happen for me! for almost the past two years my hair has never been much longer then about 2 or so inches. it's a funny thing to have to grow out your hair to get it to look like another short hair cut that you like. but i'm in need of a little change and am stoked to see what steph comes up with.

and i do believe that this one right here below is what my ultimate goal is. sides buzzed, front long enough to go behind my ears or clip back, perhaps even a light color eventually. we'll see how patient i am durning this growing phase. hopefully i can hold out!
