the greatest part about your best friend having a baby is getting to take tons of pictures of one freshly cooked adorable little boy! well ok, all the snuggles are pretty darn good too!

hollie + chris, a maternity shoot

a few weeks ago i had the absolute pleasure of doing a little maternity shoot for two of the sweetest parents to be, hollie & chris. this day was loads of fun, and she made being 36 weeks pregnant look like a breeze!

a couple weeks ago friends of ours welcomed their second child into the world, miss winter eloise (seriously, how great is that name!), and last weekend i had the honor of taking some pictures of her and her big brother, dexter...

man, i could have loved on that little baby all day long!

have you guys seen the super amazing "you are my wild" project yet? i'm so in love with every photo posted so far, and i just had to share a few of my favorites with you. incidentally, all the folks doing this project just so happen to be all my favorite instagrammers too, so you can keep up with their daily amazingness if the once a week posting just isn't enough for ya!

bits & pieces... nap time edition

this morning, while penny took her usual 45 min nap (that's kinda her new thing. a 45 min nap... for the whole day! no bueno.), mama played around with her camera and tried to learn a little something new. i've been practicing back button focusing and slowly but surely i think i'm getting the hang of it.
