pool days...

another fantastic afternoon spent lounging by the pool, eating delicious things, and hanging out with friends. and if you live anywhere near charlotte, nc it's probably a given that these aren't from this week. so far it's been nothing but rainy, grey, and gloomy these past few days. oh summer, where ever did you go?

^^ and if that's not just the cutest thing ya ever did see!^^

park days

having friends with babies is awesome, and thankfully more and more of our friends seem to be popping out wee ones these days. so when we all suddenly found ourselves with no saturday plans, we  made it a point to get our buns to the park for some hangouts of the very best kind... the kind that involve PICNICS!

oh summer, you're already lookin' pretty darn good!

pool days...

happy happiest summer to all! last week we officially kicked off the season with some afternoon pool parties. there is absolutely nothing better then spending a hot afternoon poolside with your best buds, some cocktails, and a bit of southern sunshine.

and wouldn't you know it, we're doing it all again today. so penny, feel free to wake up from your nap any time now. we've got some splashing to do!

italy, part IV, the last days

after we returned to torino from our riviera road trip we had a few days of rain in which we didn't do much other then stay around the city and see some local sites. no complaints here though. torino is absolutely gorgeous, and our friends parents made us feel like we were family ourselves.

thankfully the grey skies cleared though for the big gathering at the family vineyard. this place, uhhh i could have sold all my belongings and stayed there forever! the bread, the wine, the view... it stole a little piece of my heart.

i don't think our trip could have been more perfect. staying with family and really getting the true taste of italian living just felt so very right. i don't think we'll ever be able to thank our extended italian family enough for the experience they gave us. i know penny won't remember a lick of it, but thankfully we have a ton of pictures to show her when she's older, and her dad and i will never forget what it was like having her along with us.

if you missed them, here are posts one, two, and three. and all the pics from our trip can be seen here. hope you have a great weekend, ciao!
