27, 28, & 29/52

we were out of town for a few weeks, so here's a little catch up...

"a portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2013."

(27) penny: you were happy as a clam swimming in gaga & pop pops pool. and don’t worry, i won’t tell anyone that daddy was underwater here holding you up. that’s our little secret!

"a portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2013."

(28) penny: mornings at your gaga & pop pop’s involved breakfast and kipper while snuggled up on the couch. we were both pretty happy about this set up!

"a portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2013."

(29) penny: this is just one of your many quirks right now. you color by holding the crayon in your mouth. i’m fairly certain this makes you a creative genius!

a few days in atlanta...

penny and i spent the past few days visiting my parents in georgia. my sister came down with her kids, which made for lots of cousin, gaga, and pop pop, bonding time. these are a few of my favorite phone pics from while we were there. i haven't even attempted to go through all the camera pics yet...

we'll actually be heading back in a few days because my brother will be coming down for a visit with his family. penny will have this road trip thing down pat in no time!

pool days...

another fantastic afternoon spent lounging by the pool, eating delicious things, and hanging out with friends. and if you live anywhere near charlotte, nc it's probably a given that these aren't from this week. so far it's been nothing but rainy, grey, and gloomy these past few days. oh summer, where ever did you go?

^^ and if that's not just the cutest thing ya ever did see!^^

pizza night with the fam...

evan comes from a big family. i mean BIG. he's the youngest of 8 kids whom one by one are having kids of their own. the good thing about that is, cousins for penny! lots and lots of cousins! a few of her out of town ones were here in Charlotte recently, and there were many a day spent playing, swimming, and for penny, getting reacquainted with them. cause when you're only almost 18 months old ya tend to forget someone who you last saw at christmas. i'm pretty lucky to have married into this family of mine...

an impromptu rainy puddle jump session. is there really anything better?!?!

"a portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2013."

penny: we spent the first half of this week dealing with an ugly stomach bug. first you, then daddy, and finally mommy, fell victim to the awful belly aches. you were such a trooper though. snuggling on the couch on the day you were sick, and then being perfectly content to watch movies with mommy and daddy while we tried to recover. it was no fun at all, but we made the best of it, and it makes our healthy days that more much appreciated.
